Well I am just in love. And I don’t know whether it’s with London or nature or hotels or Marriott or all of the above but all four combined created the Bee & Bee Hotel at St. Ermin’s and it’s just fantastic.
The Bee & Bee Hotel (adorable name) sits on a terrace at the Autograph Collection’s St. Ermin’s Hotel in London. Comprising of 6 hives it is home to 300,000 honey bees who, over the course of a year, produce 25lb of honey for the hotel’s bar and restaurant. And depending on the flowers they gather nectar from, the honey produced has different flavours.
With their pick of flowers within a 3 mile radius these bees are the poshest bees going and spend time just hanging around with flowers in St James’s Park, Green Park and Buckingham Palace.
Although if they don’t fancy flying too far and prefer a little time at home, St. Ermin’s has a multitude of flora itself. Just look at the driveway to this place.
And up on the roof there’s even more with the hotel’s very own allotment growing herbs, fruit and vegetables.
Once the honey is ready for consumption St. Ermin’s use it to create cocktails and they even have a bee inspired afternoon tea.
Nature is so wonderful and living in London where space is limited it’s great to see St. Ermin’s using every part of the hotel and creating their own little sanctuary dedicated to natural, organic produce. LOVE.
