Christmas is such a magical time of year and it gives hotels an opportunity to show their creative side and differentiate themselves from their competitors.
I spent a recent Sunday strolling around London visiting a variety of hotels from 5 star properties, individually owned hotels, and chain brands to see how they’re celebrating Christmas and decorating their trees.
Hallway at The Ritz
The main Christmas tree in the lobby
Reindeer at The Palm Court
Their traditional Christmas tree just inside the hotel entrance
Two dogs playing around the tree
Upside down trees outside the Lobby Bar
The tree is decorated to complement their Charlie and the Chocolate Factory inspired afternoon tea
Le Meridien Piccadilly
Small Christmas tree in the lobby of the hotel decorated with room keys
Lulu Guinness glitter clutch above the fireplace
Decorated by Lulu Guinness with her glitter lip coin purses
The entrance to Claridge’s
Designed by friends and guests of the hotel, Dolce and Gabbana
Garland on the railings of the hotel
A Christmassy tree
Metropolitan by COMO
A decorated branch outside the hotel entrance
Gold decorated tree in the lobby
Mini Christmas trees as part of the display
I love them all, I think they’re all really individual and complement the style of each hotel. If I had to pick a favourite it would be Le Meridien Piccadilly as their tree isn’t the biggest or jazziest but they’ve created a really unique one by incorporating the business into the decorations which I think is a great touch.
What’s your favourite?
